James works as Charity Manager and is a Cauda Equina patient too who is passionate about raising the awareness of Cauda Equina Syndrome.

"I have never had such job satisfaction in my whole working career, than I do working for the charity".

Before James's diagnosis he worked full time as a Bank Manager and spent over 10 years in the finance sector.

James was diagnosed with CES in September 2020 and has been supporting the charity ever since. He started his first fundraiser during his rehabilitation in hospital (Raising a great sum of £1892), speaking up on podcasts and support group meetings about his story. This progressed into a volunteering role, which in hand led to his current managerial role after he left his career as a Bank Manager.

James has gone from strength to strength and has made it his mission ever since to give back to the charity and patients who are struggling with this debilitating condition. In his bid to raise the awareness and profile of Cauda Equina Syndrome with all health care professionals out there.

"Claire and the team were my life line whilst I was in hospital, following my diagnosis and at rock bottom"
