Cauda Equina Champions Charity is headed up by Claire Thornber, a former CES patient (2010) and leading patient advocate for cauda equina syndrome patients everywhere.

Claire lives in the North West of England and spends her time running the charity and supporting other charities, sharing the knowledge she has gained through her work.

Client Referral Manager

Gail has recently joined the Champions Charity as our Client Referral Manager. Gail is a former Police Officer and IDVA, who has worked extensively with people affected by trauma and as such can offer a confidential ear for anyone who is experiencing domestic abuse at home either from family members or carers.

Gail lives in Clitheroe in the Northwest of England and is a proud Grandma to three grandchildren.

Paige joined Champions Charity as someone with experience of the impact of cauda equina syndrome on families and children, following her Mums diagnosis several years ago.

She enjoys managing projects and events and works hard to work with charity partners and the NHS to develop important networks for cauda equina patients.

Paige lives in Lancashire with her family. She is passionate about helping others understand the impact CES can have and working to reach patients as soon as possible to reduce trauma and feelings of isolation.

She has a passion for fundraising, and we are looking forward to bringing you lots of exciting events in the future.
